Transitional Living
LAYC’s Transitional Living programs provide housing to homeless or unstably housed youth between the ages of 18 and 24 for up to 18 months.

Different Transitional Living Programs:
Stage
A transitional living program for youth 18-24 years old, enter through the coordinated entry system.
Allies
A transitional living program for youth 18-24 who identify as LGBTQ+, youth enter through the coordinated entry system.
TLP Special Populations / LGBTQ+
A transitional living program for youth who are 18-21 who identify asLGBTQ+. Referral based and through the coordinated entry system.
Extended Housing
A transitional living program for youth 18-24 years old, enter through the coordinated entry system.
Housing for Hope/Joint TH/RRH
Transitional housing (TH) & rapid re-housing program (RRH) program, Housing for Hope address the needs of unaccompanied homeless youth and young adults (YYA), ages 18 to under 25, seeking higher education. Services include Case management, referrals, and wraparound services.
Hope’s House
A transitional living program for youth 18-24 years who are a single parent Children must be under the age of 7 years old. Referral based program
Referrals to any of our Safe Housing Programs are done through the Drop-In Center and the DC Coordinated Entry System.
Location
LAYC’s Transitional Living Programs are located in various apartment buildings throughout Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
