DC Teen Center is your place to go after school where you can get help with your homework, learn to play the guitar, make music, take up photography, and so much more! Check out our programs, below.
The DC Teen Center is a drug- and alcohol-free environment for youth 11-21 years old.
DC Teen Center Programs
Cooking
Learn the basics of how to cook healthy food and make healthy choices.
Dance
Come have fun and learn new dance moves amongst peers in a safe place.
Graffiti
The class will be learning graffiti and painting techniques.
LYLC
Latino Youth Leadership Council (LYLC) leadership and advocacy for Spanish speaking students.
Hack Attack
Gain computer literacy and learn about Cybersecurity, computer networks, and IT ethics.
Guitar
This class teaches all levels, from basic to more advanced skills of acoustic and “classic” guitars.
Open Recreation
You can relax with your friends or play a game of foosball, pool, Xbox, or ping pong in a safe and welcoming environment.
Stripes
Leadership program and media advocacy training focusing on LGBTQ issues. Advocacy project using art or radio
Tutoring
Homework assistance and academic mentorship with tutors from Georgetown University. Plus Chess Challenge!
