The Re-Entry Supportive Services Program (RSSP) is 90-day, community based youth development and rehabilitation program. It provides enhanced services and supervision to youth committed to the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services who may be returning from out of home placement, may be in danger of revocation of a community placement, are in need of a graduated sanction, or otherwise require supervision and support between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The RSSP will consist of rehabilitative, educational, recreational and cultural programming in a nurturing and structured environment. RSSP will be an integral part of the continuum of care the District is developing. It is more restrictive than in-home options, but less restrictive than shelter homes and locked facilities; forming an important component in the District’s efforts to reduce youth’s re-arrests and improve their chances for successful participation in their communities. The RSSP provides services for up to 30 youth at a time with a maximum stay of 90 days. The Latin American Youth Center’s RSSP operates at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington Clubhouse #6 located at 801 Shepherd St. NW. Washington, DC 20011.
