MMYC-Silver Spring serves students from 16-18 years old that are attending target schools in Montgomery County. Throughout our program, we seek to improve academic attendance and performance, and build employment skills. The MMYC-Silver Spring in school component provides services in four areas: Academic Enrichment, Job Skills/Readiness, Family Support and At-Risk Behavior reduction. The Workforce Investment In-School Program engages low-income high school juniors and seniors to help them successfully transition to higher education and the world of work. The program accomplishes this by meeting individually with students and hosting bi-weekly workshops to provide support with:
