As part of Puentes: Bridging Youth to Healthy Behaviors, an initiative that strives to increase public understanding of and public support for mental health services to youth and their families in Prince George's County, the LAYC/Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers would like to invite you to a mental health dialogue next Tuesday, May 10, at the Langley Park Community Center, 1500 Merrimac Drive, Langley Park, Maryland 20783.

Our stellar panelists will:

 

  • Examine the state of mental health needs and services in Prince George's County;
  • Address myths and facts;
  • Discuss prevention tactics
  • Discuss the role of community members in shaping public policy, and more.

 

Presenters include:

  • Senator Victor Ramirez, Prince George's County (District 47)
  • Councilmember Will Campos, Prince George's County, (District 2)
  • Stephanie Price Martinez, LCPC, Youth and Family Counselor, Maryland Multicultural Youth Center
  • Peggy Higgins, Director, College Park Youth and Family Services
  • Marco Aguilar, Prince Georges County Health Department/Langley Park Youth and Family Services
  • Dr. Judith Freidenberg, Anthropology Professor, University of Maryland, among others.
