Serving our region’s most disadvantaged youth and ensuring they are equipped to reach their full potential is what the Latin American Youth Center is committed to doing. We would not be able to achieve any of our goals without the support of our donors. We are enormously grateful for all of our supporters as each and every one of them allow us to serve more youth and continue to deliver effective and transformative programs. All donors to the Latin American Youth Center receive a subscription to our newsletter, recognition in materials, invitation to our special events and information on volunteer opportunities. Gifts by Check

Check should be made payable to “Latin American Youth Center” with a cover letter or note in the memo section indicating your intent to support the entire organization or a particular program or event. Gifts In-Kind

Gifts of Securities: Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds

To transfer securities to LAYC, you or your broker should contact our This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for transfer instructions and account information. If you are directing your gift to a specific program or purpose, please indicate which one.

Your tax deduction for gifts of publicly traded securities is determined by taking the average, or mean, between the high and low trading prices of the security on the date of the gift (or nearest trading date[s]). A gift of securities is not complete until it is received, unconditionally and irrevocably by LAYC. An acknowledgement of the effective date of the gift and its value at that time will be sent to you.

Closely held stock, Subchapter S corporate stock, limited liability company interests, and partnerships can sometimes be used to make a charitable gift. An S corporation, limited liability company, or partnership may also donate specific assets with the deduction divided among the shareholders or members.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Gifts from current or retired employees and their spouses and board members of corporations are often eligible for corporate matching funds. Please check to see if your employer matches charitable gifts; it’s a simple way to increase your donation to LAYC.

United Way and Combined Federal Campaign

Donating to LAYC through the United Way or Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is an easy and convenient way to donate to the Center through your regular paycheck. LAYC's United Way # is 8489; and our CFC # is 55027.

Bequests, charitable remainder trusts and annuities, charitable lead trusts, gifts of retirement accounts or life insurance policies, real estate, stock options – these are some of the many ways you can give to LAYC.
